I worked on the Wire type for quite some months. After a while I realised I'd never used it. At the same time I had forgotten to announce that I moved to a new house. A good reason to make this announcement. It was laser printed on thin paper and I sent it around to a few friends and relatives.
Illegible typography can cost you money:
It turned out that my grandmother had sent me birthday cards for two years in a row and included money as a present. In stead of sending it to house number 331, she read 33-1 on the moving announcement. When I visited my far-neighbors, they remembered the mail, but had thrown it away.
